As a Visit Volunteer, you become a beacon of hope for both a pet and their person. We ask that a Visit Volunteer pick up the pet from the foster guardian and bring him/her to visit their owner for 30 minutes. You are welcome to stay longer but we ask that you allow pets to visit for at least 30 minutes before bringing them back to the foster guardian. Dogs should remain on a leash during transport, until they are inside the owner's room. Cats should remain in a carrier.

You have the choice to set up weekly, routine visits with the same pet/owner. You can also choose to do bi-weekly (every other week) visits with the same pet/owner. If you would rather not commit to doing regular visits, you can volunteer to be on-call. This means we will call you and you can either accept or decline the request to do a visit.
