• Before being placed, a pet needs to be up-to-date on vaccines. This includes, Rabies, Distemper/Parvovirus combo, Bordetella, and Leptospirosis. (Please contact us if you have questions or need help with this.)

• ​​The pet must be on a flea prevention treatment. If they have not been on a prevention treatment, please let us know and we can talk about the best treatment to administer to get the pet placed as soon as possible.

• Pets need to be sent to the foster home with everything they need, including food, dishes, leash and collar (for dogs), litter box and litter (for cats). 

​

• Owners (or their families) remain financially responsible for their pet. This includes food, monthly flea prevention, and any routine and/or emergency veterinary care that the pet may need.
